PM Ishtaye asks for help from UN to protect Palestinian people

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki asked the UN to pay attention to the compelling evidence represented by the prominent human rights organisation and demanded to hold Israeli accountable for the attempted crimes against the people of Palestine.

On Tuesday, the Prime Minister of Palestinian Mohammed Ishtaye has asked the United Nations to intervene in the matter and raise support to the Palestinian people suffering in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem.

The statement was shared by PM Ishtaye, he stated that all the reports by international authorities, Palestinian and the Israeli human rights non-government organisations have crucially warned against the practices followed by the Israeli forces against the Palestinian people.

The statement read, “The nation has been demanding UN protection for the Palestinian people because of the Israeli practices and violations of the international law and human rights in the Palestinian territories.”

However, the Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki asked the UN to pay attention to the compelling evidence represented by the prominent human rights organisation and demanded to hold Israeli accountable for the attempted crimes against the people of Palestine.

The statement further mentioned that the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) should investigate the crime by Israel against humanity urgently!

Palestine has been dealing with the cruel action of Israeli forces since the 1967 Middle East war. At that time, Israel occupied the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which the Palestinians earlier claimed.

Since then, the Palestinians have been trying to establish an independent state on these captured territories.

Recently, on February 1, Amnesty International, in a report, stated that crime committed by the Israeli government is the “crime of apartheid against Palestinians”. The report further blamed the forces for treating the Palestinians as “an inferior racial group”.
