Egypt records 2,129 new COVID cases with 60 deaths

The middle east country has recorded a total of 2,129 new cases of the deadliest COVID-19 on Monday, February 14, 2022.

Cairo, Egypt: The middle east country has recorded a total of 2,129 new cases of the deadliest COVID-19 on Monday, February 14, 2022. The data was shared by Egypt’s Ministry of Health in its daily COVID-19 update report. 

With the arrival of these additional cases, the total toll of the confirmed novel coronavirus infections increased to 457,081 since the start of the viral disease.

A total of 60 individuals have lost their lives to the deadliest mutant in Egypt on February 14, 2022, bringing the count of the total deaths to 23,409.

On the other hand, on Monday, a total of 1,243 COVID-19 patients have also been recovered from the deadliest virus and have been discharged from the hospital facilities, according to the data shared by the health ministry. The total recovery rate of Egypt stands at 388,943, till now. 

COVID-19 vaccination statistics of Egypt: 

Till now, there are a total of 39,317,370 individuals are the ones who are partially vaccinated by taking at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the statics. The number counts for around 38.4% of the middle east country’s total population. 

On the contrary, there are a total of 28,777,097 persons who are fully inoculated by taking their required number of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines. This tally counts for around 28.1% of Egypt’s total population, as per to the data of the health ministry.   

In addition, around 340 public and central hospitals have been allocated as isolation centres for the COVID-19 patients during the time of the pandemic. Moreover, seventy-seven fever hospitals, as well as twenty-six (26) university hospitals affiliated with 18 universities, were also selected to become isolation hospitals during the high tides of the contagious COVID-19 outbreak.
