COVID in UAE: 407 new deaths along with 1,399 recoveries

According to the data shared by the Ministry of Health, today (on Sunday, March 6, 2022), a total of 407 individuals tested positive for the deadliest viral disease, whereas a total of 1,399 COVID-19 patients recovered from the contagious mutant in the past 24 hours.

Although no additional COVID related death has been recorded in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, the health ministry noted.

With the arrival of these fresh cases of the novel coronavirus, the total count of the active infections has risen to 37,478. Meanwhile, since the start of the pandemic, a total of 882,884 individuals contracted the viral illness as of March 6, 2022.

The data of the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention further states that these additional COVID-19 cases were recorded out of 399,776 tests conducted by the healthcare staff.

The total number of recoveries for the present time in the United Arab Emirates has increased to 843,105. The death rate of novel coronavirus stands at 2,301, as no new death has been reported.

As of March 5, Saturday, in the Middle East country, there are a total of 9,890,349 individuals who are partially vaccinated by taking at least one dose of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines, representing nearly 100% of the total population.

On the other hand, there are a total of 9,514,515 citizens of UAE have taken their recommended number of the COVID-19 vaccines and are hence fully vaccinated. This number of fully vaccinated individuals counts for around 96.2% of the total population, as per the data shared by the health ministry.

Meanwhile, as of March 5, 2022, in the Middle East state, a total of 4,795,830 individuals are fully immunised against the virus and have taken their booster shots also.
