COVID WAVE in Egypt: New 884 cases recorded, no registration required to take booster dose

The Middle East country recorded a total of 884 additional cases of the novel coronavirus; the Ministry of Health shared the data on Wednesday night (March 9).

Cairo, Egypt: The Middle East country recorded a total of 884 additional cases of the novel coronavirus; the Ministry of Health shared the data on Wednesday night (March 9). With the arrival of these new cases, the total count of the confirmed infections of the viral disease has increased to 493,658.

The spokesperson of the Egypt Ministry of Health then added a total of thirteen (13) COVID-19 patients who lost their lives to the deadliest mutant. Now, the overall death rate of the country stands at 24,257, the data of the health ministry then adds.

Meanwhile, there are a total of 322 patients who recovered from the contagious virus and have been discharged from the isolation hospital facilities in the past 24 hours. With this, the total recovery rate of Egypt for the present time stands at 423,457, as per the data shared by the health ministry’s spokesperson.

To date, there are a total of 41,192,990 individuals who are partially inoculated by taking at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccines. This number of individuals counts for around 40.3% of the total Egyptian population, according to the statics.

On the other end, there are a total of 30,174,310 individuals in the Middle East nation who have taken their recommended jabs of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines and are hence fully vaccinated against the deadliest virus. This total of the Egyptian total targeted population computes for nearly 29.5%.

The further data discloses to date in Egypt; there are 1,104,196 individuals who are fully vaccinated and have also taken their booster shots of the novel coronavirus vaccines, representing about 1.1% of the total eligible targeted population.

Additionally, the health ministry on Wednesday also announced that the citizens can now receive their third shot (booster jab) without any prior registration. It further reiterated the significance of getting vaccinated against the deadliest virus, which will strengthen their protection.
