The Indian High School (IHS), located on oud Mehta Road, Dubai, has launched a new building on Thursday, 26 May, to meet the demand for more seats.

The new premises was inaugurated by Chief guest and school patron Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group and chancellor of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Dr Abdulla Al Karam, the Director-General of Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). The visitors were also taken on a tour of the recent building by Girish Jethwani, IHS chairman.

During the event, the student representatives told guests about the achievements and history of the school, and at the same time, Sheikh Ahmed also revealed bio sketches of Sheikh Rashid as well as Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The artwork includes snippets from the biography of both the leaders as well as their quotes.

The Indian High School marked its diamond jubilee during last year, completing 60 years in the United Arab Emirates.

The late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the former Ruler of Dubai, has donated the land on which the campus was built and is standing today.

Punit MK Vasu, the CEO, stated, “We assured every student’s life and education remained intact during the construction of Block A. The improved luxuries and an elevated learning environment will further add to the learning experience for students.”

The Indian High School has more than 13,000 students studying at its three campuses right now, and there is much more demand for the seats, which is why the new building has been constructed.
