The Adidas x Ravi Restaurant shoes were officially sold for Dh549, and sneaker lovers queued up as early as 4 am to purchase the limited-edition sneakers. The sneakers are now being resold for anything between Dh2000 to Dh6000.

Adidas collaborated with Ravi Restaurant and customised its Originals Superstar trainers to design ‘Superstar Ravi’ in combination with the white and green colours of the pocket-friendly Dubai institution, Ravi Restaurant.

One seller is selling out his pair for Dh44,000 on the Facebook marketplace.

Another seller on Dubizzle is giving out his shoes for Dh2,800, stating that sneakers are “still perfect inside and out.” The resale prices of the trainers on Facebook were much higher than those on Dubizzle. However, it is not clear whether someone at the asked prices is buying these shoes or not.

Earlier, a senior brand director at Adidas MENA, Vicki Fitzsimons, said that they were so excited to launch the Superstar Ravi in celebration of an establishment that holds profound importance to the fabric of Dubai’s community.

In the United Arab Emirates, sneaker lovers waited long to get the Superstar Ravi. As part of its launch, Dubai Mall’s flagship Adidas store was provided with a complete makeover, with the feeling of a Ravi Restaurant, with an auto rickshaw-style kitchen and tables and chairs daubed in Ravi’s trademark green.
