Recently, in June, the UK celebrated the Platinum Jubilee of the Queen to mark her 70 years of service to the country with huge events.

After coming to power in 1952, Queen Elizabeth led the House of Windsor through some of its most difficult times, fulfilling her royal duties and preserving a quiet dignity while those around her engaged in scandal and divorces.

During the Queen’s seven-decade reign, Britain underwent a dramatic social change, with a shrinking of the aristocracy and the hereditary counterparts sitting in the House of Lords. The very institution the Queen represented encountered repeated calls for its repeal during her lifetime. Still, Queen Elizabeth II managed to turn the public back into her favour during her final years.

An official statement from His Majesty, the King at the time of the Queen’s death, has come who was in a state of deep shock and said, “The death of my Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is time of the greatest sadness for me and all of my family members. We mourn deeply the passing of a loved Sovereign and a much-loved Mother. I know her loss will be heartly felt throughout the country, the Realms as well as the Commonwealth, and by numerous people around the world. During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will be helped and sustained by our understanding of the respect and deep love in which The Queen was so largely held.”

The vice president, prime minister, and minister of defence of the United Arab Emirates, as well as the ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum mourned the death of the Queen and said, “We join the world in mourning the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, who was a global icon and represented the finest qualities of her country and people. Her outstanding lifetime of service and commitment to the UK is unprecedented in our modern world.”
