Dubai: Future Foresight Centre organises Workshop on Future of Urban Crimes

The Future Foresight and Decision Making Support Centre at Dubai Police have recently organised a workshop to analyse the future of urban crimes and related repercussions and propose futuristic countermeasures and preventive actions.

As per the information shared on the official Facebook page of Dubai Police, the workshop was organised in cooperation with the Centre for Future Studies at the University of Dubai; the workshop took place in the Dubai Police Security Innovation Lab in the presence of many officers, employees, and representatives of Dubai Police’s various corporate development offices.

In his inaugural speech, Colonel Dr Hamdan Ahmad Hamdan Al Ghassiya, Acting Director of the Future Foresight and Decision Making Support Centre confirmed that organising such events responds to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to ensure Dubai occupies nothing but the leading position in every sector.

“Dubai Police is always keen to foresee the future to enhance its current operations, prepares cadres capable of developing forward-looking visions, as well as introduces futuristic tools and solutions,” Col Al Ghassiya added.

The director of the Department of Research and Future Studies at Dubai Police and head of the study team, Ms Amal Fadel Al Mazrouei, explained that the workshop includes many vital topics, including the ability to come up with forward-looking initiatives, brainstorm new projects, explore opportunities and prepare for potential challenges.
