Egypt: The President of the Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, held a meeting to monitor the executive position of business development in the new administrative capital. The conference witnessed the presence of the team Ahmed Al-Shazli, the head of the Financial Affairs Committee of the Armed Forces.
During the meeting, General Amir Syed Ahmed, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning, and Engineer Khaled Mahmoud Abbas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New Administrative Capital Company, also attended the meeting.
On his part, the official spokesman of the Presidency of the Republic, adviser Ahmed Fahmy stated that during the meeting, it was presented the position of the transfer of ministries and governmental bodies to the new administrative capital.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi noted the necessary preparations made in this regard, as more than 100 governmental entities, of which 30 ministries and many subsidiaries, have already moved to do their business from the capital.
Furthermore, it was added that the developments in progress completed in various capital components were also reviewed, including facilities, roads and hubs, residential, commercial and economic areas.
The meeting also approached a review of developments in the revenue growth of the new capital administrative company, where it was emphasized that the state budget did not and will not bear any burdens.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi also outlined that rather than achieving big returns for the state in addition to paying taxes owed to the state treasury, in addition to the role it plays in developing infrastructure, preparing and attracting land and buildings and encouraging domestic and foreign private investment.
“The meeting was discussed as well as the community role of the company, especially in the light of the initiative taken by the President to allocate a number of scholarships to the superior students in different international universities in the new administrative capital,” stressed President El Sis.
The scholarship allocation will be facilitated per the state policy of allowing all classes to access the best services available.
The official spokesman indicated that President El Sisi had continued adherence to the highest standards of quality, safety and technology in various businesses and projects in the new administrative capital.
The reports also highlighted the continuous evaluation of traffic within the capital to ensure its fluidity and efficiency in light of the growth of citizens’ movement and economic and commercial activity in the capital.
