Turkey condemns attack on mosque in Pakistan

Turkey’s government condemned strongly mosque attacks that occurred in Mastung town in the Balochistan province of Pakistan.

The foreign ministry of Turkey released a statement in this regard. In a statement, Turkey expressed condolences to the victims of the attack. In this attack, at least 50 people lost their precious lives, and more than 100 were injured.

The foreign ministry said “Ankara” will continue to support Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.

The statement specifically mentioned, “We have learnt with deep sorrow that more than 50 people lost their lives, and more than100 people were injured at an attack against the community gathered for mawlid an-nabi at the mosque on September 29, 2013 in mastug region in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.”

Turkey also expressed anger that it is very shocking to see such inhuman attacks happening at the places of worship On the holy day of Mawlid–nabi. Turkey’s government says they wish mercy for those who lost their lives and convey condolences to the bereaved families of victims.
The Government of Turkey also wishes for a fast recovery of those who got injured in this heinous attack.

Turkey, in a statement of foreign affairs ministry, also added further that, in the face of brutal terrorist attacks that are targeting the peace process and well-being of brotherly and friendly Pakistan, Turkey will always stand behind Pakistan to destroy this enemy of humanity, who are killing the common people on the name of religion in Pakistan.

The Official of Pakistan claimed that there were actually two blasts that happened within a short period of time. The first attack was at the religious procession meant to celebrate the birthday of prophet Muhammed. It was a public holiday on account of the prophet Muhammad’s birthday.

A large number of people gathered at the mosque to observe this holy day.
Meanwhile, a second blast occurred inside a mosque in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province change district.

The OIC, the organisation of Islamic cooperation, also condemned the terrorist attack on mosques in Pakistan.
