Bader Ali Habib, Regional Head of Proximity Markets at the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, emphasized the significance of this move, highlighting the enduring bond between Dubai and India.

He stated, “Dubai values its long-standing relationship with India, and our inbound visitation from the market in 2023 was outstanding, contributing to a record-breaking performance by our tourism sector.”

The introduction of the five-year multiple-entry visa comes on the heels of a remarkable surge in Indian tourists visiting Dubai. In 2023 alone, a staggering 2.46 million overnight visitors from India traveled to Dubai, representing a remarkable 34% year-on-year growth.

This influx of Indian tourists significantly contributed to Dubai’s overall tourism performance, which saw a record-breaking 17.15 million international overnight visitors throughout the year.

The growth in Indian tourism aligns perfectly with the ambitious goals outlined in Dubai’s Economic Agenda, D33, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The agenda aims to solidify Dubai’s position as one of the top three global cities for both business and leisure, reaffirming its status as the best city to visit, live, and work in.

The newly introduced five-year multiple-entry visa will enable travelers from India to enjoy extended stays in Dubai, with the flexibility of multiple entries and exits.

Issued within a remarkably short period of two to five working days, the visa allows holders to stay in the country for up to 90 days, with the option of extending their stay once for a similar period, not exceeding a total of 180 days in one year.

This historic milestone not only paves the way for longer and more enriching experiences for Indian tourists but also serves as a platform for increased economic collaboration between Dubai and India.

With exceptional flight connectivity and a continued commitment to the Indian market, Dubai remains confident in its ability to attract more visitors and further amplify awareness about its diverse offerings, multicultural setting, and abundance of hotels and attractions.

Looking ahead, Dubai is poised to capitalize on this momentum by unveiling more initiatives aimed at strengthening ties with India and enhancing the overall tourism experience for visitors from the sub-continent.

As the city continues to welcome travelers with open arms, it reaffirms its status as a top travel destination, offering unparalleled opportunities for leisure, business, and cultural exchange.

In conclusion, the introduction of the five-year multiple-entry visa marks a significant milestone in the relationship between Dubai and India, underscoring Dubai’s unwavering commitment to fostering enduring partnerships and driving economic growth through tourism and business collaborations.

As the city looks towards a future filled with promise and opportunity, the bonds between Dubai and India are set to grow even stronger, ushering in a new era of prosperity and mutual benefit.
