Dubai, March 27, 2024 – Dubai’s skyline adds another feather to its cap as One Za’abeel, the super-luxury twin-tower development, officially secures its place in the Guinness World Records for constructing the ‘longest cantilevered building’.

On March 1, One Za’abeel, situated near the bustling Dubai World Trade Center roundabout, made history with The Link, which stretches an impressive 230 meters in length.

This architectural marvel, positioned 100 meters above ground level, boasts a cantilever that extends a staggering 67.277 meters beyond the main tower, setting a new benchmark in structural engineering.

Developed under the vision of the Investment Corporation of Dubai, The Link’s completion in two phases over a mere 16 days stands as a testament to Dubai’s unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence.

Notably, the project was executed seamlessly without causing any disruption to the four lanes of live traffic flowing beneath its operation. The first phase of The Link’s construction involved a remarkable engineering feat, as a steel structure weighing over 8,500 tonnes was meticulously lifted and maneuvered into position over 12 days.

This monumental task required the utilization of over 110 special jacks and heavy-duty strand jacks, marking one of the heaviest lifts of its kind in the region.

Phase two witnessed the installation of the 900-plus-ton cantilevered structure, accomplished within a span of four days, further solidifying One Za’abeel’s place in architectural history.

Beyond its record-breaking dimensions, The Link offers a world of luxury and indulgence, spanning 230 meters and featuring eight Michelin-inspired restaurants, along with the UAE’s longest suspended Infinity pool.

Issam Galadari, Director of One Za’abeel Holdings, expressed pride in witnessing the project come to life, emphasizing the dedication to innovation, excellence, and ambition that shaped its creation.

In addition to its opulent amenities, One Za’abeel encompasses a diverse array of offerings, including the prestigious One&Only resort, the pioneering ‘SIRO’ branded fitness and recovery hotel, and the exclusive One&Only Private Homes.

Moreover, the development houses Grade A office spaces and a retail podium, catering to the diverse needs of residents and visitors alike.

As Dubai continues to push the boundaries of architectural innovation, One Za’abeel stands as a shining example of the city’s relentless pursuit of excellence.

With its latest Guinness World Record achievement, The Link not only redefines the limits of engineering but also cements Dubai’s status as a global leader in groundbreaking design and construction.

The inauguration of One Za’abeel’s record-breaking structure marks a new chapter in Dubai’s architectural narrative, setting the stage for future generations to aspire to new heights of ingenuity and achievement in the ever-evolving skyline of this dynamic metropolis.
