UAE reports 1,378 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

The United Arab Emirates is recording more than 1000 cases of coronavirus pandemic over the last few weeks every day. On Tuesday, July 19, 1,378 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, bringing the overall number of infections to 976,180.

Another 12,75 people recovered from the virus, and the total recovery rate rose to 956,351.

Two deaths due to coronavirus were also reported, raising the death toll to 2,327.

The recent cases were reported after 232,739 PCR tests were conducted. More than 174 million tests have been conducted around the UAE since the beginning of the pandemic.

The rate of infections is gradually declining in the last two weeks after a rise in June as well as early July.
More than 568 million Covid-19 infections have been confirmed in the world since the start of this pandemic.

There have been over 540 million recoveries and around 6.4 million deaths till date.

The United States has recorded the highest number of cases, at more than 91.4 million, as per data compiled by the tracking site Worldometer.

That is over double the number of infections announced by India, which ranks second with 43.7 million, with Brazil and France both having more than 33 million confirmed cases and Germany about to reach 30 million.

Thirteen nations have recorded over 10 million cases, with 64 others exceeding the number of one million.

Although most of the countries have uplifted the restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic as the world was witnessing a fall in infections, but recently, a few countries are again seeing a surge in the number of infections which may lead to a few restrictions in the coming months.

The United Arab Emirates has also uplifted all the restrictions, but during the recent holy occasion of Eid, it imposed a few restrictions for the gathering of people to prevent the spread of the virus.
