The newly refurbished Boeing 777s will debut on Emirates flights EK 85 and EK 86 to Zurich, starting October 1.

The airline has indicated that the deployment could occur earlier if refurbishment work is completed ahead of schedule.

The revamped aircraft will also feature on flights EK 819 and EK 820 to Riyadh from the same date, marking the introduction of Emirates’ Premium Economy product in the Middle East and GCC region for the first time.

In addition to Zurich and Riyadh, the retrofitted Boeing 777s will be introduced on the Geneva and Brussels routes.

Starting September 22, Geneva will become the first city in Emirates’ network to offer Premium Economy seats and newly refreshed Business Class cabins on all flights, with the retrofitted B777 operating on flights EK 89 and EK 90.

The introduction of these upgraded aircraft forms part of Emirates’ broader plan to expand its Premium Economy offering.

By the end of 2024, the airline aims to serve 28 cities with Premium Economy, reflecting its commitment to enhancing passenger comfort across its network.

To date, Emirates has retrofitted 25 of its Boeing 777s, with a further 17 scheduled for refurbishment by December 2024.

The upgrade program includes the addition of Premium Economy seats and a newly configured Business Class cabin, designed to provide passengers with an elevated travel experience.

The enhanced B777s feature Emirates‘ latest cabin innovations, with improved seating and amenities designed to offer greater comfort and convenience.

The Premium Economy cabin includes spacious seats with more legroom and an upgraded in-flight entertainment system, while the Business Class cabin has been redesigned to provide a more luxurious and relaxing environment.

Emirates’ decision to retrofit its Boeing 777s aligns with its strategy to offer an increasingly competitive and premium service across its network.

By introducing these upgraded aircraft on key routes, the airline aims to meet the growing demand for high-quality travel experiences and reinforce its position as a leading global airline.

Overall, Emirates’ move to deploy its refurbished Boeing 777s on these prominent routes highlights its ongoing investment in fleet modernization and passenger comfort, ensuring that travelers across Zurich, Riyadh, Geneva, and Brussels will benefit from an enhanced flying experience starting this fall.
