Upon receiving the emergency call, Sharjah Police immediately coordinated with the National Guard’s rescue units to respond to the accident.

A helicopter was dispatched to the scene, and one of the victims, who sustained serious injuries, was airlifted to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care.

“The priority was to provide immediate assistance to the injured,” said a spokesperson from the National Search and Rescue Centre.

“We ensured that the most seriously injured person was transported swiftly by air, while the others were treated on-site and transferred to hospitals.”

Three of the victims had minor to moderate injuries. First aid was administered at the scene before the National Guard’s ambulance teams transported them to local hospitals.

The injured individuals received medical treatment to stabilize their conditions and ensure their recovery. The accident took place in the remote and rugged terrain of Wadi Qarha, an area known for its challenging sandy environment.

Overturns are not uncommon in such regions due to the soft and uneven surfaces, which can cause vehicles to lose control, especially if they are traveling at high speeds or in unstable conditions.

“The terrain in this area can be tricky for drivers, and we urge motorists to exercise caution when traveling through such areas,” the National Search and Rescue Centre spokesperson added. “We are grateful for the rapid response from Sharjah Police and the National Guard, which ensured that the injured received timely care.”

While the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, authorities emphasized the importance of adhering to safety guidelines when driving in remote or harsh environments. They also reminded the public about the availability of emergency services for swift rescue operations.

The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers associated with driving in challenging terrains, especially in remote areas where access to help can be difficult. Sharjah Police and rescue teams have consistently responded quickly to such emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and visitors alike.

Local authorities continue to monitor the situation and provide support for the injured as they recover from their ordeal.
