Emirates to Launch Exclusive First-Class Check-in Lounge at DXB

The airline confirmed that the revamped facility is expected to open by June 2025, offering an elevated experience for its premium passengers. Until then, first-class travellers flying to the United States and other destinations will be required to check in at designated desks in Terminal 3

Dubai’s flagship carrier, Emirates, has announced the temporary closure of its first-class check-in area at Dubai International Airport (DXB) as it undergoes an extensive revamp to introduce an exclusive, luxurious private lounge.

The airline confirmed that the revamped facility is expected to open by June 2025, offering an elevated experience for its premium passengers.

Until then, first-class travellers flying to the United States and other destinations will be required to check in at designated desks in Terminal 3.

Emirates has allocated desks 54-60 for flights bound for the US, while desks 16-20 will cater to passengers traveling to other international destinations.

A New Level of Luxury

Emirates, known for its exceptional service and opulence, aims to provide an unparalleled check-in experience for first-class passengers once the new facility is operational.

According to the airline, customers arriving at Dubai International Airport in chauffeur-driven cars will be able to enter through private doors and check in from the comfort of the exclusive lounge.

“Step through the private doors into a restful space, where you can relax on soft sofas while our check-in team takes your bags and serves you personally,” Emirates stated on its website.

The airline has assured that further updates regarding the opening of the premium check-in lounge will be provided in due course.

The upcoming lounge is expected to enhance the seamless transit experience already offered to Emirates’ first-class passengers.

Currently, premium travellers benefit from dedicated services such as expedited security clearance and personal escorts to departure lounges.

The airline operates seven exclusive lounges in DXB’s Terminal 3, including three designated for first-class passengers and three for business-class travellers. A newly introduced Emirates Lounge caters to all premium customers.

Global Investments in Premium Lounges

Emirates has been investing heavily in upgrading its premium passenger facilities worldwide. In its financial report for the first half of 2024-25, the airline revealed that it had allocated Dh44 million to expand and refurbish its network of signature lounges.

This investment includes the opening of new lounges at London Stansted and Jeddah airports, as well as the refurbishment of its Paris Charles de Gaulle facility.

The initiative forms part of an ongoing multi-million-dollar programme aimed at enhancing Emirates’ global premium services.

The airline has experienced steady growth in passenger numbers, carrying 26.9 million travellers between April 1 and September 30, 2024—an increase of three per cent compared to the same period the previous year.

The enhanced check-in lounge at DXB aligns with the airline’s strategy of maintaining its reputation as a leader in luxury air travel.

With the new first-class check-in lounge set to redefine premium travel experiences at Dubai International Airport, Emirates continues to reinforce its commitment to providing world-class services and setting new standards in aviation luxury.
