PM Skerrit then noted the second initiative is focused on reviewing Dominica’s minimum wage, for which the work of establishing and organizing a Public-Private Sector Committee is underway.

The program will provide policy recommendations that will facilitate the enhanced review of the corporate income tax and minimum wage.

A contract by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Blue Green Economy was also signed with Ace Engineering Ltd on 10th January, to facilitate the construction of a Citrus Certification Facility in Londonderry.

This marks a major shift for positioning the country as one of the leading citrus providers across the Caribbean region.

The Citrus center, as stated by the authorities, will be aimed at providing quality crops and techniques. This will help Dominica to export their goods and enhance their own agriculture sector.
