Other than the US and Canada, the movie has also topped the UK and Ireland charts for a second successive week. As per the UK data provided by Screen Daily, “A Quiet Place 2” has “added £1.3m from Friday to Sunday, taking the number one position on each individual day. It is now up to £6.4m, and while it will fall short of the £12.1m taken by the first film in 2017, this still represents a decent performance given the distancing measures in place.”

Apart from cash, the sequel of the 2018 movie has also received great praise from the critics and fans. The performance by the actors have been applauded.

Variety reported, “With a domestic box office of $188 million, the first film was seen widely enough that Krasinski is probably safe in assuming the audience for this one is up to speed, and therefore justified in weaving tiny nods to “A Quiet Place” throughout.”

The Rotten Tomatoes has given the film a rating of 91%. As Rolling Stones reviewed the sequel, the author David Fear wrote that “A Quiet Place 2” is, “a brilliant watch-the-skies movie in miniature, filled with lack-of-sound and fury, and it distills everything that made the original so unique and exhilarating into a single set piece.”

Other than that, one of the fans posted an appreciation review for the film on Metacritic. The fan with username ‘manningn15’ wrote, “A Quiet Place Part II was amazing. The writing was outstanding especially the story and the character development with Regan and Evelyn. The performances from Emily Blunt… were phenomenal they gave such authentically emotionally powerful performances… The visual effects are superb so creepy and real looking. The makeup and hairstyling was excellent. An A+ sequel.”
