The Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy 2025-2027, which comes with a Dh13 billion investment, is poised to reshape the emirate’s administrative landscape.

A key part of the strategy is the full automation of government processes and the integration of cloud technologies, which aims to enhance efficiency, improve public service delivery, and accelerate economic growth.

In a statement, Ahmed Hisham Al Kuttab, Chairman of the DGE, emphasized the transformative potential of the initiative.

“By incorporating AI, cloud technologies, and data-driven insights into our government’s DNA, we will transform public service delivery, optimise government operations, and drive sustainable economic growth,” he said.

A significant focus of the initiative is the implementation of a unified digital enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform.

This will streamline various government processes, creating a more integrated and efficient public sector. With AI at its core, the ERP platform will help local authorities manage resources more effectively, ultimately enhancing productivity across government services.

Beyond automation, the strategy is expected to contribute significantly to the emirate’s economy.

The initiative is forecast to create over 5,000 jobs, with a particular emphasis on Emiratisation efforts, further supporting the UAE’s long-term vision of developing a knowledge-based economy. The move is also projected to inject more than Dh24 billion into Abu Dhabi’s GDP.

In line with its “AI for All” program, the Abu Dhabi government plans to invest heavily in training its citizens in AI applications.

This is a key part of the strategy’s commitment to fostering a digitally literate workforce that can adapt to the evolving technological landscape.

Additionally, more than 200 innovative AI solutions will be rolled out across government services, enhancing efficiency and citizen engagement.

To ensure the success of the strategy, authorities will also focus on robust digital guidelines aimed at maintaining the highest cybersecurity standards.

As government services become increasingly digitized, safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining public trust will be paramount.

The Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy 2025-2027 marks a significant milestone in the UAE’s broader technological aspirations.

As the country moves towards becoming a global leader in AI, the strategy positions Abu Dhabi at the forefront of digital government innovation, setting a new standard for efficiency, transparency, and citizen service in the digital age.

With AI poised to play a central role in the future of governance, the city’s residents can expect a more streamlined, responsive, and forward-thinking public service.

The ambitious strategy also signals Abu Dhabi’s commitment to driving technological development and sustainable growth, ensuring that its government operations are not just efficient but also adaptable to the needs of tomorrow.
