Civil Defence rescuing team saves life of Arab man who slipped into rugged mountain area

The Civil Defence team rescued the Arab man who slipped into a rugged area in the mountains of Shamal area in Ras Al Khaimah. According to the rescuers, the 28-year-old was on a trip with his friends of camping.

The Civil Defence team rescued the Arab man who slipped into a rugged area in the mountains of Shamal area in Ras Al Khaimah. According to the rescuers, the 28-year-old was on a trip with his friends of camping.

As per the statement of the Brigadier General Muhammad Abdullah Al Zaabi – the Director of the Civil Defence Department in Ras Al Khaimah, the team was reported about the incident in the evening via a phone call at around 6:43 pm.

Soon after being informed about the incident, the team of Civil Defence left for the site where the incident took place, underscored Brigadier Abdullah Al Zaabi. Reaching the incident site, the team came to know that the man had slipped down in the mountains of the Shamal area, where it is pretty challenging to reach.

Further informing and highlighting the difficulties faced by the rescuing team, Abdullah Al Zaabi noted that the team putting their lives at risk walked on foot on the dangerous way to save the life of the man.

It was then figured out that the man had broken his shoulder and was immediately given required medical aid by the rescuing team and was taken to the hospital at around 9:30 pm.

He then requested the people visiting the mountainous regions for trekking or campaigning to “to stay away from rugged, steep and hard to reach locations for their own safety, and to avoid getting into any trouble or such accidents”.

Apart from this, while concluding his statement, he stressed the significance of taking all the precautionary measures while planning such trips to avoid any incidents.
