Damac Properties Set to Launch Luxury Airline, Damac Air, with Exclusive Tropical Destinations

Damac Air aims to enhance luxury travel for high-net-worth individuals, offering non-stop flights to exclusive destinations like Seychelles, Maldives, Bali, Bora Bora, Fiji, and Hawaii. The airline is set to launch in the coming months

Damac Properties, one of Dubai’s largest private developers, is venturing into the aviation industry with the launch of its own luxury airline, Damac Air.

The airline promises to elevate the travel experience for high-net-worth individuals, offering non-stop flights to some of the world’s most desirable tropical destinations.

Set to take flight in the coming months, Damac Air has already revealed six exclusive holiday locations on its roster: the Seychelles, Maldives, Bali, Bora Bora, Fiji, and Hawaii.

These destinations were chosen for their appeal to affluent travelers seeking both luxury and relaxation in some of the world’s most picturesque settings.

The airline’s branding positions it as an experience beyond mere air travel, with promises of comfort and exclusivity that mirror the lifestyle of its target clientele.

In a statement on its official website, Damac Air described its vision as being “more than travel. It’s a lifestyle blending exotic thrills with home comforts.”

The company added that its mission was to “transform how you live,” positioning itself not just as a means of transportation but as an integral part of an elite way of life.

The airline also teased potential customers with the offer of a chance to win a free trip when they register on its website, adding an element of exclusivity to its early marketing efforts.

Damac’s move into the aviation market is notable for several reasons. It marks the first time a private UAE developer has ventured into the airline industry.

The company has already been sharing teaser videos and content on its social media channels, generating buzz around the new venture.

Despite the secrecy surrounding the full details of the airline’s operations, the excitement surrounding the brand’s new direction is palpable.

Damac Air’s entrance into the market positions it against established competitors such as Beond and Rotana Jet.

Beond, which branded itself as the world’s first premium leisure airline, made headlines with its inaugural flight from Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) to the Maldives in April 2024.

The growing number of luxury airlines in Dubai highlights the increasing demand for high-end travel options, particularly among the city’s growing population of millionaires, centimillionaires, and billionaires.

Dubai, with its status as a global hub for the ultra-wealthy, is home to approximately 72,500 millionaires, 212 centimillionaires, and 15 billionaires, according to recent reports.

The emirate’s status as a hotspot for luxury living and international business makes it a natural location for an airline catering to a premium market.

The demand for such services has been rising, as more luxury-focused companies aim to provide tailored experiences for their affluent clientele.

Damac Properties has already demonstrated its strong position in the real estate sector, reinforcing its standing with impressive sales figures and ongoing development projects.

In fact, the company has awarded over Dh7 billion in contracts for various projects in the first half of 2024, underscoring its financial strength.

In recognition of its solid financial position, Moody’s Ratings recently upgraded Damac Real Estate Development Limited’s outlook from stable to positive, affirming the company’s strong sales, improving credit metrics, and consistent cash flow.

With its move into the aviation industry, Damac Air promises to take luxury travel to new heights, redefining the way the affluent experience leisure and vacation.

As the airline prepares for launch, the competition in Dubai’s luxury airline market is sure to intensify, creating a new era of premium travel for the city’s wealthiest residents and visitors.
