Saint Lucia: Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia – Ernest Hilaire, has taken to his official social media handle to share updates regarding the ongoing Saint Lucia Jazz and Art Festival in different constituencies of the country. The festival has been featuring a number of renowned national and international artists with folk performances as well.

According to the shared information, Deputy Prime Minister Ernest Hilaire has shared several glimpses from the Jazz and Art Festival through his Facebook posts. In his remarks, he stated that the ongoing festival had been recognized as one of the most loved and biggest stage events in the country.

Meanwhile, he extended his remarks and noted that the Monchy Jazz event held in Mizik An Kweyo had come to an end last night, and it was a total blast. The audience enjoyed the event thoroughly, as it was a great show of cultural and Jazz fusion performed by famous bands.

It was also said that the people of Saint Lucia have been showing up in large numbers to attend the events of the Jazz and Art Festival in their respective constituencies as well. 

The government of Saint Lucia has also made every arrangement in order to conduct the events smoothly without any interruptions and incidents.

Furthermore, Deputy Prime Minister also shared a glance from an event showcasing a group band performing instruments in harmony. He noted in his Facebook caption, “Happening Now on the Derek Walcott Square, The Big Pan Project!”

The event blew the mind of the audience through its unique and musical theme, played in perfect sync by the talented and skilled artists and instrumentalists of Saint Lucia.

Deputy Prime Minister, who also serves as the Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information, has applauded the band members of the group and called them the pride of the country.

Meanwhile, Dy PM Hilaire also shed light on a folk show presented by talented actors and artists and noted, “Yesterday, I witnessed one of the best creative pieces, A Little Folk Tale, put on by our very own young people here in Saint Lucia. Their enthusiasm and sheer skill are unmatched. Throughout the performance, I got chills; they were in tune with their characters and made the scenes realistic.”

While explaining the beauty of the act, Ernest Hilaire also praised the concept and the direction of the whole play.

He also outlined, “The production of the play was also ‘top drawer’. Kudos to the entire casting team and production staff. I look forward to seeing other performances from our young people for the rest of the Jazz and Arts Festival as well as throughout the year.”

“Let us embrace the talent of our people and provide them with resources and a stage to showcase their talents to the world!” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
