Here is a list of free things to do at Expo City 2022

  • Surreal water feature

It doesn’t matter how many times we go to the Expo site; we can’t get enough of this gravity-defying fountain, and judge by the number of times we see it pop up on the ‘Gram, neither can you.

Let little ones dip their feet in the fountain and watch, mesmerised, as the water vanishes beneath them.

It’s free and an absolute must-do, especially as we brave the last few weeks of the Dubai humidity.

The kids’ playgrounds are back in action and open from 2-10 pm. These include Rashid’s Adventures Playground at Jubilee Park, Adventurous Octopus Playground at Terra, the Sustainability Pavilion and Latifa and the Space City Playground at Al Forsan Park. All are free to use, and you can quickly while away an afternoon is making a tour of them.

  • Quick ride to Expo Explorer Train

There may be a lot to come at Expo City Dubai, but the site itself is still vast, so take the weight off with a ride on the Expo Explorer train. A fun way to get around and see all the attractions, especially for the kids. The Expo City Taxi Buggies are also currently accessible.

Enjoy the train with a tour guide between 10 am and 4 pm or without a tour guide from 4 pm to 6 pm.

  • Al Wasl projection Shows

Al Wasl Dome is undoubtedly one of Expo 2020’s highlights and is back in action at Expo City Dubai, this time with a new show. Awakening of Al Wasl marks a new chapter for Expo with a stunning projection show that will light up the dome inside the central plaza.
