New Delhi, India: The special virtual summit called ‘The Voice of Global South’ is scheduled to be held between January 12 and 13. The event will focus on discussing the priorities of the global south and ensuring a favourable environment during the sitting of Foreign Affair Ministers.
As per the information, the Indian External Affairs Minister Subramanyam Jaishankar will begin the meeting with his opening remarks, which will be broadcast live during the entire summit. Said an official from the Ministry of External Affairs.
The reports have confirmed that, during the inaugural session of the summit on January 12, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the meeting with his opening and closing remarks which will also be live-streamed.
In addition, the sessions of Finance Ministers will mainly revolve around the topics of Financing People-Centric Development.
Furthermore, the voice of globe south event will also include the remarks of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will also be broadcast live. In addition, the live streaming schedule of the event was further shared by the management authorities, which read as,
The inaugural sitting of the voice of global south for Human Centric Development will be live streamed at 1000-1130 hrs, along with opening and closing remarks of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will commence and live streamed at 1330-1530 hrs.
The session’s opening remarks from the Finance Ministers for Financing People-Centric Development will be broadcast live.
Additionally, the Environment Ministers’ sessions will mainly focus on balancing growth with Environment-Friendly Lifestyles (LiFE).

The foreign secretary, Mr Kwatra, said in his remarks that 10 to 20 countries would be an important part of the session. He also conveyed that nearly 120 countries will participate in the summit.
In the end, the initiative of the voice of the global south is inspired by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’. It is also underpinned by India’s philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,’ Kwatra said
