Although the actor had reassured the High Court that he would be back by May 30, still the police had doubts about him that he may cancel his tickets and postpone his return.

The Kerala Government has also told the High Court that Vijay Babu threatened the complainant’s mother on the telephone before filing the sexual assault case. The threat call was made on April 19.

The actor knew that a sexual harassment complaint would be filed against him as per the prosecution. After learning this, he escaped to Dubai.

Malayalam movie producer and actor’s passport has been impounded after he was booked for a rape case. He has also been charged for revealing the survivor’s name illegally during a live session on social media, which is an offence.

In his anticipatory bail plea, Babu stated that the allegations against him were an attempt to blackmail him and that he was the real victim in this whole situation.

The case against the actor was filed on April 22, and the complainant accused Vijay Babu of raping her several times at a flat located in Kochi and has even recorded an indecent video of her. She blamed the actor for giving her drugs before the sexual abuse.
