Prince Hamdan mourns loss of lives caused by Morocco earthquake

The Crown Prince of Dubai, and an Emirati Politician, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has extended prayers and grief to those affected by the Morocco earthquake, which took place on Friday evening.

Prince of Dubai, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, took it to his official social media handle to express the condolences to the bereaved families.

Prince Rashid Al Maktoum, while expressing the grief over the number of those affected by the earthquake, said that, “Our sincere condolences to our people in Morocco for the victims of the earthquake…”

Along with this, Prince Rashid Al Maktoum has also extended prayers to those affected by the calamity. Noting to which, he said that, “We ask God to have mercy on them and to heal the injured and help the afflicted.”

At the same time, he also expressed solidarity with the people of Morocco. Expressing which, he said that, “We affirm full solidarity with the Moroccan people to overcome the effects of this humanitarian disaster.”

It is to be noted that, the death toll of those affected by the recent earthquake has already crossed the mark of 2000. And as per the authorities, the magnitude that has been recorded for the recent earthquake was 6.8, which has claimed lives of more than 2,012 people, while leaving over 2,059 injured and also leaving big number of people homeless.

After looking at this, the Morocco authorities has declared three day-mourning period in the country. As per the statement released by the military, King Mohammed VI of Morocco has made directions to the armed forces to deploy specialized search and rescue teams and a surgical field hospital.

It is to be specifically mentioned that the death toll following the devastation caused by the earthquake continues to spike. Alongside this, the rescue team are working to save people in the isolated communities and also looking for people who are trapped under the rubble.

Moreover, they have also set up tents across some of the regions, while many people are coming ahead in order to donate their blood for helping those affected from this earthquake.
