Russian President talks to PM of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu

Vladimir Putin, Russian President, yesterday spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the ongoing Israel-Hamas war and briefed the Israeli PM on his talks with several leaders from the region and especially with the Palestinian authority.

During their talks, Putin also underscored the initiative Russia is taking to end the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip from escalating further in other parts of the region during their discussions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia posted on X, “President of Russia Vladimir Putin spoke to Prime Minister of the State of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu over the phone,”.

President Putin emphasized that the steps are being taken by Russia on a large scale to prevent the further escalation of violence in the Gaza Strip, the Foreign Ministry Of Russia said.

Moscow said the conversation mainly focused on “the crisis situation emerging  from the worst escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

The Israeli side particularly informed of the essential points of telephone conversations that took place today among the two leaders.

“Vladimir Putin informed (Netanyahu) about the steps Russia is taking forward to help normalize the situation in the region, especially in the Gaza Strip,to prevent further escalation of violence and prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip”

It is noteworthy that after the brutal attack, the Israeli PM openly declared a massive war against the Hamas group responsible for the attack on Israel’s civilian areas.

Prime Minister of Israel, soon after the attack on Hamas, took to the media and stated that “peoples of Israel, we are at war; he added that this is not an operation or escalation but a full-scale war.”

The PM also vowed to wipe out the Hamas by defeating it in the ongoing war. Israel recently announced to impose a complete siege of the Gaza Strip and ordered the people to leave Gaza for their own safety.
