In October 2020, the pair tied the knot in an intimate wedding following their engagement in 2019. The pair dated for about two years and the actress debuted with her engagement ring in July 2019, at the Sam Diego Comic-Con stage.
A post was shared on Social media, which read, “We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and love ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC.”
In 2019, while speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, the actress claimed that the way Josh proposed to her was damn different and yes he killed it. He surprised her with his proposal, and the entire scene depicted as of the ‘James Bond situation.’
She joked and said, “He’s got a lot behind that news desk he’s hiding,” she joked, referring to Jost’s job as “Weekend Update. He’s very charming and very thoughtful and romantic. But yeah, I was surprised. Even if you kind of imagine what that moment’s gonna be like, it is still a beautiful moment.”
Previously, while sitting for an Interview with the ‘PEOPLE,’ the actress opened up on her part as a mother and clarified the way she motivates her little Rose to eat up healthy meals. She also detailed her partnership experiences with frozen pizza bites made with organic, grain-free ingredients and HumanCo on Snow Days.
At that time, she noted, “It’s funny, but I think I never really had to trick her into eating healthy. I think [it’s best] just letting kids discover food that way without making it feel like a chore. Everybody has a different palate. I’ve never tried to force my kid to eat anything she didn’t like, and I never tried to hide any foods from her because I was trying to pack in an extra carrot. Just offer a variety as much as possible.”
While being a student at PCS, Scarlett and her classmate, Jack Antonoff, the American singer cum multi-instrumentalist, from 2001 to 2002. Later, she dated her co-star of Black Dahlia, Josh Hartnett for about two years until the end of 2006. The main reason behind their split was the busy schedules of the TV personalities.
Further, the actress began to date Ryan Reynolds, the Canadian star and later they married in 2008, following their engagement the same year. However, it didn’t work out and they both separated in 2010 and finalized their divorce in July 2011.
In 2012, Johansson moved ahead and gave a try with Romain Dauriac, a Frenchman and the owner of an advertising agency. The pair got engaged and they both divided their time between Paris and New York. Later, in 2014, Rose Dorothy Dauriac was born and the pair tied the knot the same year in Montana. However, things changed and they both separated in 2016 and finalized their divorced in September 2017.
Notably, Scarlett has been sadly involved in many controversies and she says that her career grew on these controversies only. Back in March, the actress while speaking in an Interview about the Gentlewoman for the spring and summer 2021 issue, she accepted that she “made a career” out of controversy.
That time, the actress said, “Yeah, I’ve made a career out of it (attracting controversy).” The actress was also criticized for being ready to play a transgender character in ‘Rub and Tug.”
Meanwhile, she clarified that her only intention was to speak freely and also acknowledged all the wrong calls, she made in the past. Thus, Scarlett claims, “I’m going to have opinions about things because that’s just who I am… I mean, everyone has a hard time admitting when they’re wrong about stuff, and for all of that to come out publicly, it can be embarrassing. To have the experience of, ‘Wow, I was really off the mark there, or I wasn’t looking at the big picture, or I was inconsiderate.’ I’m also a person.”‘
Back in September 2011, the actress was in the media spotlights for her naked snaps Controversary. As per the reports, some of the nude pictures of Scarlett were leaked online, from her phone through hacking. However, later the hacker was caught and sentenced to 10 years of prison and Johansson claimed that these pictures had been sent to her and then to her ex-husband, Ryan Reynolds, three years before this incident took place.
Notably, Scarlett Johansson claims that she now perfectly gained the idea of how to speak and when to speak and she believes in keeping her part at the right time and in the right place.
Hence, The Tony Winner clarifies, “I can be reactive. I can be impatient. That doesn’t mix that great with self-awareness. I also believe that my political views should not affect my career as an actor. I don’t think actors have obligations to have a public role in society. Some people want to, but the idea that you’re obligated to because you’re in the public eye is unfair.”
