Sheikh Mohammed expresses satisfaction toward progress in gender balance in UAE

The Prime Minister and Vice-President of the UAE and Dubai's Ruler, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, conveyed his satisfaction toward progress in gender balance in the UAE and its execution into the work culture, indicating a more thriving future under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE's President.

The Prime Minister and Vice-President of the UAE and Dubai’s Ruler, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, conveyed his satisfaction toward progress in gender balance in the UAE and its execution into the work culture, indicating a more thriving future under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE’s President.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum told that the UAE President is among the most powerful lawyers of women and their role as a primary partner in the nation’s development, advancing the approach launched by the late Sheikh Zayed and the stage of empowerment that is led by the late Sheikh Khalifa which saw several legal amendments and policies supporting gender balance.

Sheikh Mohammed praised the winners of the Gender Balance Index of the federal government during its 4th round of 2022. The winners were chosen from three categories – Best Federal Authority Supporting Gender Balance, Best Personality Supporting Gender Balance and the Best Gender Balance Initiative.

The Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation as well as the President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as the ‘Mother of the Nation’, was honoured with the ‘Best Personality Supporting Gender Balance’.

The award was got by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of the Presidential Court.

The Ministry of Culture and Youth got the award for the category of ‘Best Government Entity Supporting Gender Balance’ at a ministerial level.

Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, received the award.

The award for the category of Best Federal Entity Supporting Gender Balance at an institutional level was given to The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security and was accepted by its chairman Ali Mohammed bin Hammad Al Shamsi.

The award for the category of the ‘Best Initiative Supporting Gender Balance’ was given to The Ministry of Community Development for its initiative of AlSanaa and was accepted by the Minister of Community Development, Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid.
