Abu Dhabi, UAE: In United Arab Emirates, fresh 316 cases of the novel coronavirus have been recorded today (March 22, 2022, Tuesday), as per the information shared by the Ministry of Health and Prevention.Â
The arrival of new cases brings the total number of active infections in the country to 26,007; meanwhile, the total tally of the confirmed COVID infections since the beginning of the pandemic has hiked to 887,383, as of Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Â
Along with this, a total of 958 patients of the COVID-19 recovered from the contagious virus and got discharged from the hospital facilities in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of the COVID-19 related recoveries to 860,074, according to the data shared by the health ministry in its report.Â
Meanwhile, no additional death has been reported in the Middle East nation in the last 24 hours; thus, the total COVID-19 related fatality rate of the United Arab Emirates has increased to 2,302.Â
In terms of the vaccination coverage rate, till March 20, 2022, there are a total of 9,890,591 individuals who have taken their at least one jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and are partially vaccinated against the virus, according to the official data. This number of citizens computes for around 99% of the total targeted eligible population of the UAE.Â
On the other hand, there are a total of 9,574,092 citizens of the United Arab Emirates who have taken their recommended jabs of the COVID-19 vaccines and are thus in the category of fully immunized individuals, representing nearly 96.8% of the total UAE’s eligible population.Â
The figures further reveal that, so far, there are a total of 4,920,568 individuals in the Middle East country who are fully vaccinated and have also taken their third dose, that is, booster shots of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines. This number calculates nearly 49.8% of the total population.Â
