The family feud between the Royals of England and Prince Harry and his wife Megan Markle is known to the world. Many people from the Royal Family and others have commented on the matter. Now, Prince Edward has addressed the family feud on an interview today with CNN.
Queen Elizabeth’s youngest son Prince Edward says that the rift going on between Harry and Megan and the Royal Family is “very sad.” He says “Families are families.”
In the interview, Prince Edward sympathized with Megan and Harry. Edward said, “Weirdly we’ve all been there before, we’ve all had excessive intrusion and attention in our lives, and we’ve all dealt with it in slightly different ways and, listen, we wish them the very best of luck. It’s a really hard decision.”
Talking about how the Queen handled and reacted to the rift, Prince Edward told that it had been difficult for everyone “but that’s families for you.” Other than that, the Queen is doing remarkably well since the demise of her husband, who would have turned 100 this month. Besides, as Prince Edward told, the last few weeks have been considerably busy with work and gradual opening of the country.
“I think there are going to be other times further along the year where I think that it will become a bit more poignant and a bit harder,” he added. “But at the moment … I think that everybody’s in pretty good shape really.”
Prince Edward also addressed the birth of the new baby Lilibet. He said, “Fantastic news about the baby. I hope they will be very happy.”
Last year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex- Prince Harry and wife Megan Markle, stepped down from royal duties and shifted to the USA. Subsequently, Megan Markle’s surprising revelation made on the Oprah Winfrey Show about racism and operation of the Royal Family aroused further tensions between the two sides.
Although Prince Edward didn’t say much about the family feud, but he stated that the rift was very unfortunate and sad. He stated that’s what a family is and that “families are families.”
