Jenna Dewan recalls being “Without a Partner” after giving birth to her and Channing Tatum’s daughter!

Jenna Dewan opened up about being “without a partner” after giving birth to her and Channing Tatum’s daughter Everly, which brought a period of hardships in the actress’ life.

Appearing on the Dear Media’s Dear Gabby podcast, Jenna revealed that she and her ex-husband Channing Tatum had separated a few weeks after the birth of their daughter. Recalling the time, Dewan shared, “With Evie, because I had her in London, and I had to go back to work on an episodic TV show… in Vancouver, I had to travel with her and at the time, Chan wasn’t available to be with us for the most part. So, it was me, my doula, and Evie all by ourselves traveling at six weeks.”

She continued, “I thought, ‘OK, I think I can do that. It’ll be two months after and I’ll have her on set.’ That was really hard because that was long hours. I did have her on set with me constantly. It was just really difficult.”

Dewan’s work schedule and having a new born baby was very hectic for the actress, as a result of which, Dewan shared that she felt “a lot of postpartum anxiety.”

Jenna further explained, “I just never stopped… You’re up a couple times in the night and then you’re working all day. I was breastfeeding. I was pumping. I was without a partner. I mean, it was just craziness.”

Jenna met Channing Tatum on the set of their films “Step Up”, and the two started dating in 2016. The couple got married on July 11, 2009, in Malibu, California. Later, in 2013, Jenna gave birth to their daughter, Everly Elizabeth Maiselle Tatum.

As Jenna stated in the interview, she and Tatum separated just weeks later after Everly’s birth. However, the couple announced their split in in 2018, and their divorce was finalized in November 2019.

After that, Jenna started dating Steve Kazee, and they announced their engagement in February 2020. A month later, Jenna gave birth to her and Kazee’s son Callum Michael Rebel Kazee. Talking about her second pregnancy “This time around, I was so grounded. Even though the world was crazy, I was home and in this love nest and it was different… It was great. It was me, Steve, Callum and Evie just cuddling. It was so lovely.”
