St Kitts and Nevis government allows Carnival 2021

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: The government of St Kitts and Nevis decided to allow the celebrations of Carnival 2020. As per National Carnival Committee, they held a series of meetings with government and health officials.

The National Carnival Committee stated that the government agreed for Carnival celebrations, however, there are still terms and conditions that are required to be followed.

The government said all sponsors, event managers, and participants must be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. Any person with just one vaccine dose will not be accepted unless the person had Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

Carnival Season is the most awaited season of the year, it was cancelled in 2020 due to the lockdowns followed by a state of emergency.

St Kitts and Nevis is now slowly coming back to life. On Tuesday, three cruise ships docked at the Port Zante at the same time. It was a memorable moment for the country after closing its borders in March 2020.

More than 144 more cruise ships already have St Kitts and Nevis on the itinerary for December 2021. People are enjoying the bubble created by St Kitts and Nevis tourism authority.

All people at the Port Zante wear face masks, maintain social distancing as they welcome the guests from the cruise ships. Thousands of people are disembarking in St Kitts and Nevis this tourism season. All local vendors, restaurant owners, shop owners, tour guides and taxi drivers are happy as their well-being and financial independence is returning.

With the efforts of the Ministry of Health and other front line workers of St Kitts and Nevis, the country is flourishing again. Not just the cruise visitors, but stay-over visits by guests are also increasing. As the tourism season approaches, slowly and gradually, St Kitts and Nevis is again becoming the favourite destination of travellers from around the world.
