Disney+ to officially launch in Middle East and other MENA countries, in summer

After summer 2022, the streaming platform will be additionally available in 42 countries and 11 territories, including 16 Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets.

Good news for Middle East citizens who love binge watch! Disney+, one of the widely watched streaming platforms of entertainment giant Disney, has announced to be officially launched in the Middle East, this summer.

The step has been taken as a part of their “phase three” of expansion.

After summer 2022, the streaming platform will be additionally available in 42 countries and 11 territories, including 16 Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets. These 16 markets would be UAE, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Yemen.

For now, the platform has been partially available for the users with the OSN subscription via the Disney+ on OSN service.

Currently, Disney+ is available in more than 30 mega markets of the world, including the US, the UK, Canada, Germany as well as France. The streaming platform was launched in 2019 in the United States, the Netherlands and Canada and expanded its services in European countries in the year 2020.

The platform is yet to announce the exact launch date for the release, and the prices of the same are also not officially announced. But, let us tell the price conscious audience that Disney cap their prices below their market competitor, especially Netflix.

Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, North Macedonia, Oman, Palestine, Poland, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Vatican City, and Yemen.

Apart from blockbuster Star Wars and Marvel Universes content, Disney+ would also provide shows from animation giant Pixar, factual programmer National Geographic and family entertainment subsidiary Star. Disney also broadcasts 20th-century classics shows from Studios, Disney Television Studios, FX and Searchlight Pictures.
