First Radisson Resort to open in the Middle East

The Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah Marjan Island offers 388 rooms and suites with sea views or balconies from which to enjoy the fresh sea air and spectacular views of the picturesque Marjan Island

Middle East: The Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah Marjan Island offers 388 rooms and suites with sea views or balconies from which to enjoy the fresh sea air and spectacular views of the picturesque Marjan Island, a group of four man-made coral-shaped islands stretching 4.5 kilometres into the sea off the coast of Ras Al Khaimah. The 2.7 million square metre landscape is one of a kind. The resort offers a scenic view of the Arabian Peninsula and the surrounding Yanis and Jais Mountains, and is conveniently located near a variety of activities and attractions, including the world’s longest zipline, the Jebel Jais Flight, the terracotta dunes of Al Wadi, and the National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah. Beautiful scenery, stunning coastlines, enormous desert plains, and 64 kilometres of white sand beaches may all be found in the emirate.

“We are thrilled to close the year with the launch of the Middle East’s first Radisson Resort right here in the UAE, and our first hotel in Ras Al Khaimah,” says Tim Cordon, Area Senior Vice President, Middle East and Africa at Radisson Hotel Group. With the launch of Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah Marjan Island, we now have a presence in six of the seven Emirates, and the new resort complements our current hotel portfolio of 15 properties in the UAE. Ras Al Khaimah Tourism has done an outstanding job promoting the destination, and we are excited to contribute to its appeal with our new resort.”

The Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah Marjan Island offers a private beach, two swimming pools, a special children’s pool, an indoor fitness centre with a fully equipped gym, and a spa, as well as two meeting rooms and a ballroom for bigger corporate meetings and private occasions such as weddings. The resort’s six restaurants offer a wide range of dining options, including RBG Restaurant, which serves a variety of foreign specialties for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. RBG Bar, a beach-facing sports bar with retro-inspired décor and trademark comfort dishes, is the ideal spot to unwind. The Seafood Shack is the ideal spot for sunset beverages on the patio, with fresh seafood dishes, a raw bar, and a live-fire grill. On its sunlit terrace, La Med serves a wide variety of cuisine from all over the Mediterranean. Guests can relax poolside with refreshing drinks and short nibbles without leaving the comfort of the pool at The Shelf Pool Bar, or have a drink, snack, or coffee at the lobby café Bake House, which is open all day.

“We are pleased to be unveiling the first Radisson Resort in the UAE,” says David Allan, Cluster General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Waterfront, Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Canal View, and Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah Marjan Island. Our new Radisson Resort is the ideal spot to unwind, recover, and reconnect while creating lasting memories – ideal for staycations, couples, and families alike. We are excited to provide every guest with the same level of courteous service for which we are known.”

The health and safety of Radisson Hotel Group’s guests and employees remain its top priority. The Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah Marjan Island has adopted the Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol programme, which includes in-depth cleanliness and disinfection protocols developed in collaboration with SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification company, and is designed to ensure guest safety and peace of mind from check-in to check-out.
