Meanwhile, the individuals who have tested negative for the viral illness are eligible to take the booster jab by the time interval of 3 months after getting injected with the second dose of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines.

This decision has been taken in considering the condition of the immune systems. The interior ministry on Thursday issued a statement imposing a policy of mandate vaccination for the population of Saudi Arabia travelling to any foreign country from February 9, 2022.

The Kingdom, on February 4, 2022, recorded a total of 3,555 cases of the COVID-19 virus, taking the total count of the confirmed COVID-19 cases to more than 705,000 so far. As per the statistics, there are a total of 8,950 individuals in Saudi Arabia who have lost their lives in the battle against the novel coronavirus.

In terms of the vaccination figures, as of February 4, 2022, there are a total of 25,634,695 individuals who are partially vaccinated with taking their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, which stands for around 73.6% of the total population of Saudi Arabia kingdom.

On the other hand, there are a total of 23,772,644 persons in the Kingdom who have taken their required number of the COVID-19 vaccine and are hence now fully inoculated. This number calculates for 68.3% of the total eligible population.

While, a total of 8,820,554 individuals are the ones who have taken their third shot or booster jab of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines, which estimates for around 25.3% of Saudi Arabia’s total population.
