The Middle East state has recorded a total of 1,743 new cases of the deadliest COVID-19 virus in the last 24 hours, as of February 27, 2022.

Cairo, Egypt: The Middle East state has recorded a total of 1,743 new cases of the deadliest COVID-19 virus in the last 24 hours, as of February 27, 2022. The data has been shared by the Ministry of Health.

With these additional cases, the total toll of the confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Egypt rises to 480,727.

According to the data shared in the health ministry’s report, there are a total of thirty-five (35) new COVID-19 fatalities recorded in the Middle East state, bringing the tally of total deaths (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 23,992.

Meanwhile, the overall recovery rate of Egypt has now jumped to 410,948, including the recent 1,200 recoveries of the COVID-19 patients in the past 24 hours, as of February 27, 2022.

Vaccination statics of the Middle East country:

In Egypt, there are a total of 40,088,514 individuals who are partially vaccinated by taking their at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine jab, and representing around 39.2% of the total Egyptian population, according to the data of the report.

On the contrary, there are a total of 29,465,603 persons in the Middle East state who are now fully immunised against the deadliest viral disease by receiving their required number of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines. This number represents around 28.8% of the total Egyptian population.

Meanwhile, the booster shots are also being administered for the eligible population in Egypt at various COVID vaccination sites and centres, of which only 1% of the population has taken it so far.
