1,322 new cases recorded in Egypt

According to the data shared by the Ministry of Health, Egypt has recorded a total of 1,322 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

Cairo, Egypt: According to the data shared by the Ministry of Health, Egypt has recorded a total of 1,322 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. With the arrival of these additional infections, the total count of the confirmed COVID-19 cases has now increased to 485,093.

Meanwhile, on the same day, thirty-six (36) patients of the deadliest COVID-19 viral disease lost their lives, bringing the overall death rate of the Middle East country to 24,110. The statics were highlighted by the spokesperson of the health ministry – Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.

He further notified that a total of 2,008 were recovered and got discharged from the hospital facilities of Egypt on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. At the present time, the total count of the recovery rate of the Middle East state stands at 415,490, the spokesperson of the health ministry then added.

In terms of the vaccination, there are a total of 40,772,051 individuals in Egypt who have received their at least one dose of the novel coronavirus vaccines and are now partially inoculated, representing around 39.8% of the country’s total population. The data of the vaccination stands for February 26, 2022.

On the other hand, there are a total of 29,953,832 persons in Egypt who have taken their second or required number of the COVID-19 vaccine doses and are hence now fully vaccinated. This number of individuals counts for nearly 29.3% of the total population.

The data of the health ministry further notes that a total of 985,931 individuals are fully vaccinated as well as have taken their booster jabs. This number represents around 1% of the total Egyptian population.

Meanwhile, the Middle East country’s government is pursuing the aim to vaccinate 70 percent of the targeted population that is who are above the age of 12 years, by the second half of 2022.
