UAE reports 323 new COVID infections with zero death

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: The Middle East country has recorded a total of 323 additional infections of the novel coronavirus on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. No additional death has been recorded by the healthcare establishments of the United Arab Emirates today.

With the arrival of these new cases, the active infections of the novel coronavirus have increased to 35,815 in the United Arab Emirates.

Meanwhile, there are a total of 1,168 individuals who recovered from the deadliest virus, bringing the total tally of the COVID-19 related recoveries to 854,476. The overall death rate of the Middle East nation stands at 2,302.

These additional cases of the COVID-19 mutant came from the 302,508 new COVID-19 tests conducted by the healthcare facilities, according to the data shared by the Ministry of Health in its report.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 883,593 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus viral disease has been reported in the Middle East nation.

As of Monday, March 7, 2022, there are a total of 9,890,523 individuals in the United Arab Emirates who have taken their at least first jab of the COVID-19 vaccines and are hence in the category of partially vaccinated individuals.

On the other hand, as per to the data of the health ministry, to date, there are a total of 9,524,573 individuals who are fully vaccinated by taking their required number of the recommended WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines. This number represents around 96.3% of the total population.

There are a total of 4,817,674 citizens of the Middle East nation who are fully immunised against the contagious viral illness and have also taken their booster shots.

The total count of individuals who received their booster shots in the United Arab Emirates computes for nearly 48.7% of the total population, according to the data shared by the ministry.
