COVID in UAE: 382 fresh cases, 0 deaths and 1,093 recoveries reported

In United Arab Emirates, a total of 382 new cases of the COVID-19 virus were recorded on Friday, according to the data shared by the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention.

With the arrival of these new cases, the total toll of the active cases of the COVID-19 viral disease has increased to 33,311; meanwhile, the number of confirmed COVID infections has risen to 884,736.

These additional cases of the COVID-19 mutant have been recorded after the testing of 332,599 individuals in the last 24 hours, as of Friday. 

The data of the report further highlights that a total of 1,093 COVID-19 patients recovered from the deadliest virus on Friday, bringing the total number of overall recoveries to 849,123. 

No new death has been recorded in the past 24 hours, the health ministry officials stated, adding that the total toll of the death rate for the present time stands at 2,302. 

Meanwhile, the vaccination statics notes that as of March 10, 2022, there are a total of 9,890,220 individuals who have taken their at least first shot of the COVID-19 vaccines and are in the category of partially vaccinated population. This number of individuals represents around 100% of the United Arab Emirates population. 

There are a total of 9,534,172 individuals in the United Arab Emirates who have received their required number of the recommended doses by the WHO and are now fully vaccinated, computing for nearly 96.4% of the Middle East country’s total population. 

In terms of booster shots, there are a total of 4,843,240 citizens of the Middle East nation who are fully vaccinated and have also taken their booster jabs (third dose) of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines.

The medical experts noted that the current situation of the deadliest COVID-19 pandemic in the UAE is improving the number of infections as well as deaths witnesses a significant decline.  

UAE government has also issued new guidelines for students, following which wearing masks indoors remains mandatory, but for outdoor, wearing a face mask becomes optional for students.
