UAE confirms 287 additional COVID infections

In the United Arab Emirates, a total of additional 287 cases of the novel coronavirus were recorded today (on Monday, March 28, 2022), according to the data shared by the Ministry of Health and Prevention.

The data of the report reveals that with the arrival of these new cases, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases has increased to 890,398 as of March 28, 2022.

Although no additional COVID-19 related fatality has been recorded in the United Arab Emirates in the past 21 days, thus, the total death rate in the Middle East country remains at 2,302, according to the statics shared by the health ministry. 

In addition to this, today, a total of 815 patients with the COVID-19 viral disease recovered from the mutant and got discharged from the hospital facilities as of March 28, 2022. With this, the total COVID recovery rate increased to 865,229. 

To date, a total of 229,355 COVID-19 tests have been conducted by the healthcare facilities of the Middle East country, the data adds. 

Besides this, the health ministry officials called on the general public to cooperate with the health authorities and abide by the COVID-19 containment measures established by the UAE government. 

Additionally, there are a total of 9,890,221 individuals who have received their at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to date and are now partially inoculated against the virus. 

On the other hand, there are a total of 9,603,404 citizens in the Middle East nation who have taken their required number of the COVID-19 jabs and are hence in the category of the fully immunized population. This number of individuals represents around 97.1% of the total targeted eligible population.

The data adds, there are a total of 4,962,913 individuals who are fully immunized and as well as have taken their booster shots of the COVID-19 vaccines, computing for nearly 50.2% of the total targeted population.
