M Glory opens new EV manufacturing plant in Dubai Industrial City

The new plant is worth Dh1.5 billion, built on a total land area of 93,000 square meters. 

Abu Dhabi, UAE: M Glory Holding Group opens a new electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Dubai Industrial City, a part of the United Arab Emirates, of expanding and fostering its manufacturing sector. The plant will be among the largest in the Middle East, established with the aim to produce 55,000 EVs a year, the company officials asserted on Monday. 

The new plant is worth Dh1.5 billion, built on a total land area of 93,000 square meters.

According to the statement of Majida Al Azazi – the chairwoman of M Glory Holding Group, “The manufacturer is an Emirati industrial facility with international specifications where we will manufacture environmentally-friendly – electric cars, donating to global measures to reduce carbon emissions and support sustainable development.” 

The company then cites, “The M Glory factory will employ the technologies as well as techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, by utilizing the most delinquent robots in the manufacturing processes.” 

The Middle East country plans to shift to greener technologies, for which numerous efforts are being made by the country’s administration and technology firms.  

The Net Zero 2050 Strategic Initiative witnesses a total investment worth Dh600bn in clean and renewable energy sources in the following three decades. 

Meanwhile, Middle East’s and North Africa’s first-ever summit on EVs will be taking place in the capital city of the United Arab Emirates from May 23 to 25, 2022, attracting significant investors in the field. 

Omar Al Suwaidi – the Undersecretary in the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, asserted, “The motive of these projects is to create important sectors in the country, which includes the industrial and technological sectors, even more, attractive to investors. They will also help industries of the future to develop new competitive advantages and consolidate the position of the UAE as a hub for global companies, investments, and talents.”

The company will be exporting EVs to the region of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which comprises countries such as – Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman, M Glory further asserted.
