UAE records 288 additional COVID cases

Abu Dhabi, UAE: The United Arab Emirates today (March 30, 2022) recorded a total of additional 288 cases of the novel coronavirus, according to the data shared by the Ministry of Health and Prevention in its report. This brings the total number of COVID active cases to 21,813 as of March 30, 2022. 

Meanwhile, the overall count of confirmed COVID-19 infections has increased to 890,987, the data reveals.

Along with this, a total of 770 patients with the COVID-19 viral disease have been recovered from the virus and got discharged from the hospital facilities in the last 24 hours. This takes the total count of the COVID-19 related recoveries of the Middle East nation to 866,872. 

Although no additional death has been reported in the last 24 hours in the United Arab Emirates, therefore the death rate in UAE stands at 2,302. 

To date, a total of 308,848 tests of the COVID-19 virus have been conducted in the Middle East country, as per the data shared by the health ministry.  

As of March 29, 2022, in UAE, there are a total of 2,890,318 individuals who have taken their at least first dose of the COVID-19 vaccines and are now partially vaccinated. This number of individuals represents around 100% of the total eligible targeted population. 

On the other hand, there are a total of 9,603,499 individuals who have received their required number of the COVID-19 vaccines and are fully vaccinated against contagious viral disease. This number of individuals represents nearly 97.1% of the total targeted eligible population of the United Arab Emirates. 

While till now, as per the official data, there are a total of 4,969,885 individuals who are fully immunized and have also taken their third dose, which is a booster shot of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccine, computing for nearly 50.2% of the total targeted population.
