UAE confirms new 298 coronavirus infections

A total of 298 additional cases of the contagious COVID-19 infection were recorded in the Middle East nation today, April 3, 2022, according to the data shared by the Ministry of Health and Prevention. 

Abu Dhabi, UAE: A total of 298 additional cases of the contagious COVID-19 infection were recorded in the Middle East nation today, April 3, 2022, according to the data shared by the Ministry of Health and Prevention. 

With the arrival of these infections, the overall number of COVID-19 active infections has increased to 19,875, which has witnessed a decline as compared to April 2, 2022 report.

The health ministry further informed that there are a total of 648 patients of the novel coronavirus who have recovered from the deadly mutant in the last 24 hours and have been discharged from the hospital facilities in the United Arab Emirates. This brings the total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the Middle East country to 869,993.  

Although no additional death has been recorded in the UAE in the last 24 hours, therefore the total number of the COVID-19 related deaths in the Middle East country remains at 2,302 as of April 3, 2022.  

These fresh COVID-19 cases were confirmed from the total of 282,125 tests conducted by the healthcare facilities in the past 24 hours. 

There are a total of 9,890,202 individuals who have taken their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and are partially vaccinated against the virus to date. This number represents almost 100% of the total targeted population.  

On the other hand, there are a total of 9,613,276 citizens who are fully vaccinated by taking their required number of COVID-19 doses, computing for around 97.2% of the total targeted eligible population. 

Meanwhile, there are a total of 4,981,694 individuals who are fully vaccinated and have also taken their third dose (booster shots) of the COVID-19 vaccines. This number of citizens represents about 50.4% of the total targeted population.
