Although the board has yet not decided to revoke the “Best Actor” award, which was given to Smith for “King Richard.”

President David Rubin and CEO of the Dawn Hudson, in a letter, asserted, “The Board has decided, for a time period of ten years from April 8, 2022, Mr Smith shall not be allowed to attend any of the Academy events or programs, in person or virtually, including but not limited to the Academy Awards.”

The actor already has apologised from his host of Oscars – Chris Rock, for smacking him and even accepted the decision of the Oscars authorities.

There are people who are demonstrating their support for Smith, saying that Chris must also face the consequences for cracking a joke about Will Smith’s wife related to her health condition.

The action of Smith has been condemned by several stars as well as people.

94th Academy Awards (Oscars) took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, United States of America.
