The Resolution further aims to assure that the existing infrastructure, data and services are in optimal use. It also seeks to create procedures to ensure ICT compatibility and integration at all levels of government.

As per the Resolution, Digital Dubai Authority (DDA), in partnership with relevant government entities, will make policies across all areas that are concerned with achieving the plans of the government for digital transformation, including the ICT yearly budget of government entities; shared digital services of government entities; data centres and the Government of Dubai’s cloud services, among other areas.

DDA’s Director-General has the power to approve the policies that have been introduced under the Resolution and their amendments.

Policies that have been approved must be posted on the Authorities’ website.

As per the Resolution, DDA is tasked with overlooking the implementation of the policies across different stages. The Authority is also charged with making regular reports to be shared with The Executive Council on the adherence of government entities to these policies.

The Director-General of Digital Dubai Authority will administer a decision determining the timeframe for executing the policies for government entities.
