“He was with me till late Friday night. On Saturday morning, he came into the office to finish some last-minute paperwork. We were scheduled to inaugurate our company together today evening.”

“Right now, I am in the hospital and attempting to get all the documentation together. We are hopeful that we will be able to get the repatriation accomplished today. I will be travelling with the body to India to his family.”

Japin was raised in the southern Indian state of Kerala and was a professional biker who took part in many riding events, both in India and worldwide. He had been out on a ride with his biking mates when the unfortunate accident happened.

Asif said, “He was an extremely experienced rider. I still cannot believe how this happened. But I guess I have to accept it. Now my priority is to make sure his kids are taken care of.”

Japin’s wife, Dr Anju, who is a homeopathy doctor, and his two sons, aged 5 and 1, went to India on Sunday.

Jassim Muhammad, president of the Indian Social Centre, Ajman, said, “He was a very hard working young guy. I hired him to work for me in 2009, and it was his first job. We worked together for five years before he moved on to another job. He was a charming person to work with.”
