Partners of ‘Takatuf’ Volunteering initiative honoured by Dubai Police

His Excellency Lieutenant-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, honoured the charitable institutions and societies, partners of the 'Takatuf' initiative, with the purpose of promoting community partnership, tolerance and solidarity among all parts of society, promoting safe driving, and maintaining the safety of drivers and road users during the holy month of Ramadan.

His Excellency Lieutenant-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, honoured the charitable institutions and societies, partners of the ‘Takatuf’ initiative, with the purpose of promoting community partnership, tolerance and solidarity among all parts of society, promoting safe driving, and maintaining the safety of drivers and road users during the holy month of Ramadan.

Lt. Gen. Al-Marri applauded the fruitful cooperation with different charitable organizations in the emirate, which had a great impact on the success of the ‘Takatuf’ initiative, which distributed thousands of iftar meals to motorists, highlighting the Dubai Police’s enthusiasm to build bridges of permanent cooperation with these charitable organizations, and to improve joint cooperation with them, especially in projects and initiatives that achieve its strategic objectives of ensuring the happiness of society.

During the end of the ceremony, His Excellency Lieutenant-General Abdullah Al-Marri, accompanied by Expert Major General Khalil Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, and Brigadier Abdullah Khadim Surur Al-Ma’sam, head of Dubai Police Council for Directors of Police Stations, honoured the charitable institutions and societies who collaborated with “Takatuf” initiative, including the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD), Red Crescent Society, Tarahum Charity Foundation, the Dubai Charitable Society, Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for Charitable Activities, Beit Al Khair Society, Dar Al Ber Society, Watani Al Emarat Foundation, and Aster Clinics Group.

Various institutions and organizations are taking part in enhancing safety measures during the holy month of Ramadan Tarahum Charity Foundation to keep the citizens safe from heavy traffic and major accidents.

Similarly, another initiative is also in progress in which meals are being provided to motorists during the time of opening of fast so that they do not hurry to get back to their homes which is a major cause of accidents. Dubai Police is taking every step to make this holy month a safe one.
