On Thursday, May 26, the Qatar Airways “Match Day Shuttle tickets will kick off at incredibly competitive prices and rotate frequencies from Dubai, Muscat, Kuwait City, Jeddah and Riyadh. Qatar Airways will also be operating more Match Day Shuttle flights around the GCC in the future and flying in football fans from around the globe on its extensive global network.”

Fans will arrive in Qatar in the morning and depart in the evening, requiring no hotel accommodation. Furthermore, a no check-in luggage policy will be simplified as an easy-in, easy-out travel itinerary for the passengers. Passengers that will book one of the Match Day Shuttle services will also be transported between the airport and the stadium.

As per the reports, airfares from the UAE to Qatar have rocketed ahead of the Fifa World Cup due to the robust demand expected, with economy class fares jumping by nearly 1,900%.

Airlines data have disclosed that one-way economy class airfare, initiated from as less than Dh360 in May, has jumped to Dh7,110 on November 20, a day before the start of the mega event. The Fifa World Cup is set to be held from November 21 to December 18.

The Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, Ghaith Al Ghaith, stated this initiative would enable the airline to welcome more football fans and visitors worldwide to experience this region’s warm hospitality and rich culture.
