UAE Weather: Skies to remain cloudy, high chances of rainfall

The National Centre of Meteorology has predicted more wet weather for Thursday, July 7, following two days of heavy rainfall in many parts of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

The National Centre of Meteorology has predicted more wet weather for Thursday, July 7, following two days of heavy rainfall in many parts of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

The NCM stated that there was a chance of rainfall in some internal and coastal regions, along with a drop in temperatures.

Winds could be as high as 40 kph, which will cause low visibility as dust and sand will be swept up in the air.

Light to moderate winds will blow in the UAE, freshening at times, particularly with clouds, may generate blowing dust and sand that will reduce the visibility on roads for motorists.

Heavy thunder was also heard rumbling in parts of Abu Dhabi on Wednesday afternoon, July 6 and rain fell in the suburbs as unsettled weather continues in the United Arab Emirates.

Low cloud hung over the capital of the UAE, along with Dubai as well as the Northern Emirates.

In Baniyas, a suburb of the capital that is towards the south, there was heavy rain that followed a downpour in Al Ain on Tuesday, July 5. On the other hand, in Ghantoot, there are reports of heavy rain with flooding.

Police officers in Abu Dhabi have called for drivers to be careful on the roads as the weather conditions are quite challenging.

Temporarily, the police officials cut the speed limits to 80 kph to boost safety during bouts of rain on Wednesday, July 6.

Weather conditions are predicted to be rainy during this weekend as the Emiratis are all set to witness a break of 4 days for Eid Al Adha 2022. Skies will stay partly cloudy to cloudy for the whole weekend in general.

After a hot weather, the citizens will get a sigh of relief as they will witness a slightly cool temperature.
